Theodore M. Strauss, D.D.S.

Dr. Theodore Strauss moved to Boca Raton in 1974, after graduating from the State University in NY at Buffalo in 1973. He was the founder of The Dental Team which grew to offices in 8 cities with over 20 dentists including in-house specialists, an on site laboratory and over 100 employees. During his career he has been a pioneer in restoring implants and was published in the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry (Vol 9 #1 1989).

Instead of retirement at age 46, Dr. Strauss who has always taken courses in the latest techniques and advances chose to establish a boutique practice with cutting edge equipment and the latest technology. He was one of the first to use digital x-rays and an intraoral camera. Having attended many postgraduate lectures, Dr. Strauss was most impressed with the higher level of dentistry taught at the Las Vegas Institute. As an LVI graduate, Dr. Strauss has completed hands on courses in cosmetic and esthetic restorations as well as TMJ correction to relieve facial pain. He continues to attend LVI courses in all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Strauss is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association and the South Palm Beach County Dental Association. Dr Strauss is married to his high school sweetheart, has two daughters (one of which is a dental hygienist) and two cats.  Dr. Strauss is also the proud grandfather of two grandsons and one granddaughter.  He enjoys fishing, scuba diving and traveling.

At Dr. Strauss' office, cosmetic and aesthetic procedures such as Empress veneers,  LUMINEERS  and porcelain crowns are available to transform your smile in the shape and color you choose. It is now possible to "test drive" your new veneers or crowns before the permanent restorations are bonded on.

Using the latest technology and advanced training in bite analysis, Dr. Strauss can now relieve many symptoms associated with a mis-aligned bite such as headaches and joint pain. The K-7 evaluation system and the use of a myomonitor enables Dr. Strauss to first diagnose TMJ ailments and then treat them using muscle relaxation followed by more definitive reconstruction if deemed appropriate.

Dr. Strauss now uses new pain free laser technology to find hidden decay where traditional methods of diagnosis may not be able to detect such decay. He is also using soft tissue laser technology to enhance cosmetic procedures ( such as a gummy smile) and to aid in treating gum disease.

Dr. Strauss and his staff have a wonderful rapport with their guests. They offer such comfort amenities as beverages, snacks, warm blankets and massage pads for the hygiene room.
