We now have the newest soft tissue diode laser on the market. What does this mean for you? Procedures such as cosmetic gum treatment to enhance your smile, adjunctive therapy to treating gum diseases, apthous ulcer treatment just to name a few are possible with very little healing time needed.

First, laser technology can where appropriate be used to reshape or recontour your gumline. A “gummy” smile can be a thing of the past. In addition to our comprehensive non-surgical periodontal therapy program, laser treatment is used as an adjunct therapy to help promote healthy gums by reducing bacteria deep into the gum pockets where the disease festers. If the diseased pockets are greater than 3 mm deep, then home brushing and flossing cannot clean them well. Treating the appropriate infected pockets is one of the most important phases of periodontal therapy and the laser is effective at killing the harmful bacteria painlessly. Also, in addition the soft tissue laser can be effective in treating painful ulcers or canker sores by making them less painful and accelerate healing.
